Public Safety Alerts

alert-napa-county.png

ALERT Napa County is the system that enables the agencies within Napa County to provide you with critical and non-critical information in a variety of situations. This includes situations such as severe weather, planned and unexpected road closures, missing persons, evacuations, natural disasters, and public health concerns.

Sirens are an additional part of our emergency alert system. In times of an emergency, police officers will drive through neighborhoods activating their sirens to provide the emergency alert. If you hear a siren, please do not call 911. Check our website, or the City of American Canyon's site, Alert Napa County messages, or tune into one of the local radio stations (KVYN and KVON). Any of these sources should be able to give you additional details regarding the purpose of the alert. A siren alert could indicate a number of situations, such as the need to evacuate or shelter in place. Listen to a sample of the sound you may hear.

In the case where electronic communications have been disrupted, we will print and post the latest incident updates at the following locations:

  • City Hall, 4381 Broadway, American Canyon, CA 94503
  • Public Safety Facility, 911 Donaldson Way East, American Canyon, CA 94503
